Hell, I would've just let that moron run in and die by himself. I would've stood at the door and laughed at him while he was beat down. Why did the rest of them run in also? What I wanna know is how the one guy is figuring out their chances of survival. What formula did he use to come up with 32.33(repeating, of course)%. The funny thing is, that I could easily see alot of this kind of thing happening, if a bunch of us ToE guys ever got together and played an MMO (considering that a few of us enjoy drinking so much). _________________ Trample the weak...hurdle the dead!!

AC... you do realize that was staged, right? LOL
i've seen some of Make Love Not WarCraft, Piz, and it's a great ep.
i know from playing D&D, and piz you might be able to back me up on this, that the ideal number of people for games was 4 or 5. 6 and in some cases 7 or 8 were doable, but everyone had to be dedicated. the problem there is that it's turn based, and so more people means more time before it's your turn again. under 4 and i think the game became uninteresting. some of the fun of D&D can come from players not always seeing eye to eye and such; it helps build part of the story and take some of the pressure and focus off the DM. 3 could be okay, but 2 was usually a little tedious.
anyway, my point is that when you translate RPGs into the massive online format, it's true that you get rid of the factors that limit group size in table top games. you lose the intimacy and frankly, all of the "role playing" involved in a role playing game. it just becomes a never-ending race against what is for all intents and purposes a nearly infinite peer group. we were able to reach some levels of notoriety with GC2 as many of the best of the best because that was such a small pond. i really think we can't underestimate just how massive MMOs get. with GC2 we were only really ever competing against a few hundred people.
anyway i'm just rambling and bantering at this point; i know no one's trying to convince me of anything, and i'm not trying to persuade anyone in any particular direction. i still can't wait for starcraft 2 LOL. _________________ Don't worry. And pray tell dear sire what is wrong with the Cards.....is it not of good fortune that i, a foreigner haveth taken time enough to learn the wise game of football and thus bee taken in by the skill and honor shown by those from Arizona?
LOL....i feel in a weird mood...
And whats a Californian doing "geauxing" for the saints anyway?
Wes..Chiefs? I thought you was a Titans man? _________________ BMF

the saints are my 2nd favorite team after the chargers; i'm a fan because of how their institution responded to hurricane katrina. _________________ Don't worry. I don't have low self-esteem. It's a mistake. I have low esteem for everyone else." --Daria |

If I cared at all about baseball, the Yanks would be under "most hated" I think. Far as I can tell Steinbrenner just tries to buy his championships. Until baseball institutes some kind of meaningful salary cap, it will mostly be who's going to spend the most year after year.
I've been a Cowboys fan since about 1977 or whenever I was old enough to know what football was.
Had a soft spot for the Saints for a longtime since they were one fo those teams that never did much year after year, so it's good to see them actually doing decent now. Just not against the Cowboys . _________________

I do pull for the Titans because I live in Memphis. But the Chiefs are my "real" team. First football game my dad took me to when we used to live in Iowa. Back when Christian Okoye was destroying people and eating thier babies at the running back position! _________________
